Adoption Expectations

We require our adopters to be at least 18 years of age. You MUST bring a government-issued I.D. to show proof of age. 

 Adopters who rent should have permission from their landlord to keep a pet in their home. If we need to contact your landlord when reviewing your application, we will contact you before contacting them.

 We will contact your current veterinarian to verify this before finalizing your application. If your current pets are not current, we would love to work with you to get them up to date!  

 Heartworm prevention is recommended year-round in Missouri to prevent the spread of heartworm disease. If your current dogs are not up-to-date on preventatives, we would love to discuss options and the importance of protecting your pet! 

All dogs adopted through us will be sent home with 6 months of heartworm preventatives.  

 Although not required, we would love to have you as our client for all your pet’s future needs!

We take the placement of our pets very seriously. Our dedicated and highly trained Adoption Staff reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
