FOSTER a Furry Friend Today!

Judy's Forgotten Jewells is always in need of fosters for adult dogs and cats!

We always strive to find the perfect forever family for our adoptable animals. Unfortunately, sometimes adult animals take longer to be adopted so we utilize our fosters to help keep our animals mentally and physically fit. The shelter environment can be stressful, and foster homes provide our animals with much-needed breaks from the noise and overstimulation. Our fosters also provide additional information on how an animal does in the home, which can be instrumental in finding the perfect adoption match.

By taking an animal into your foster care, you are helping them find a forever family and allowing us to save another pet in need by opening up a kennel!

What we provide to our fosters:

  • Food.
  • Medical needs, including monthly preventatives.
  • Appropriate supplies, including collar/leash and crate.

Medical & Behavioral Support:

  • Our experienced staff is available to support fosters with medical and behavioral questions or issues.
  • If a health concern or emergency occurs, email us right away. Please do not call. Email allows our team to see urgent concerns quickly and respond efficiently.
  • Please note: If a foster animal is taken to a veterinary hospital without prior authorization, the foster will be responsible for all associated costs.

What we ask of our fosters:

  • Adherence to our Foster Guidelines.
  • Reside within a 30-minute drive of our facility.
  • Weekly updates with personality information and photos. Monthly check-in at the facility.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and with a reasonable response time.
  • Minimum 2 week commitment.
